Happy Thanksgiving

The nice part about having a small Thanksgiving, as I am having, is that you can pick and choose what you want to do, and don't want to do... wht oyu want to eat and do not. My menu is simple and we are having what would like to eat, not what people are "supposed" to eat. I have looked up recipes for the things I do not normally cook and made the plans for the things I love cooking.

Our menu-
A lovely beef roast with roasted onions and gravy (Emeril Lagasse recipe)
Mashed potatoes with roasted garlic
Roasted Brussels sprouts
My version of green bean casserole  (which is like every other recipe except that I use green beans and English peas with cream of asparagus or cream of onion soup. I don't like cream of mushroom soup. I stir in some onions and top with the rest.)
Banana pudding (Mom wants banana pudding, so we are having banana pudding)

So, what does this have to do with design? A few life rules that can guide your menu can also guide your designs.
1. consider living small, it gives you freedom
2. do what is important to you, instead of following the crowd
3. do not let not knowing how to do something stop you from learning how
4. plan, plan, plan
5. conceed, sometimes.

Happy Thanksgiving!
